The Bayou Teche Black Bear & Birding Commitee and the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring Artist Guild Unlimited, Inc. to host an Art and Non-professional Photography contest and sale at the Lamppost on 737 Main St. from April 16-18, 2010. The professional photographer Jim Bryon will be judging the contest.

The community calendar board on Main St. has come under the safekeeping of the City of Franklin. As such, the City of Franklin is allowing public access to the board to promote community-wide functions for public benefit.
