
The Water Department has
four full-time employees on
call 24 hours a day. Their primary responsibilities are
the maintenance and up-keep of Franklin water mains,
towers and wells. They monitor water quality and ensure
potable drinking water.
Another important function of the Water Department is
providing water for fire fighting. The Department must
maintain the volume and pressure of water in sufficient
amounts to enable the Fire Department to fight fires.

Dainae
brings 15 years of experience in public sector waste
water resource management to the City of Franklin in her
position as Utilities Director. She is a 1996
graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana and has a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology. Additionally, Dainae
has an M. S. in Civil Engineering from Corliss
University. She holds memberships in the LA Rural
Water Association and the American Chemical Society.
